RXF Group: A matter of rigor
At every stage, from creative concept, which often goes through them, to the financial proposal, ending in logistics and project delivery, everything at RXF is developed by a team with extreme attention to detail and rigor.
"In fact, that's why they hire us," says Pedro Miguel Ramos, the CEO of the Group. "Throughout these 12 years, it was indeed that which defined us: rigor."
In the beginning, in 2007, RXF was only connected to the information technology field. Later on, it dedicated itself to audiovisuals, with technical event management and equipment rental, and finally started offering content production. Why this path? Pedro Miguel Ramos explains that "equipment alone did not have the desired strength." "In fact, that was the perception we had early on and it made us create a content production area, RXF Cinema & Multimedia. Content production transformed the way we sell our service. In many cases, RXF develops the content and materializes it on the equipment it rents and operates." Even so, investment in new equipment is not neglected. "For a company like ours, which has several business areas, it becomes imperative to approach investment correctly. Last year, for example, was the year of the highest investment in the video area with the acquisition of the latest Ledwall 2.6," says the CEO of the Group.
Present and future
Pedro Miguel Ramos confidently states that the Portuguese market has become more mature. "For some years now, the country has been on the route of major events, business tourism has been strongly promoted, and technically we are confident in our abilities. I believe we are doing the same or better than what is done abroad." This competitiveness is also felt on the clients' side. "The national client is more attentive, more rigorous. And in terms of innovation, currently, we don't feel any difference compared to foreign clients."
In five years, the RXF CEO expects to have a stronger, more mature company, and above all, growing from within for and with people. "Our team has always been and will continue to be our greatest asset. On the other hand, the IT aspect will increasingly be present in the event market, with its own mechanisms and totally different ways of negotiating and implementing."
This challenge raises the issue of the qualification of Portuguese technicians. Pedro Miguel Ramos understands that progress has been made in an increasing manner over the last 15 to 20 years, with more courses dedicated to the area, whether in vocational schools or higher education. "However, I believe we still have a long way to go. The audiovisual field is very vast and tremendously segmented, requiring further reflection on the path to follow," he concludes.
